People around the SF Bay Area, around the country, and around the world have been rising up for Black Lives in response to George Floyd’s murder by Minneapolis Police. If you were arrested in the SF Bay Area, during the uprising the information below is for you:

As of July 31, 2020:

In Alameda County the court remains closed for general business and they have not been holding arraignments for out of custody defendants during that time. You can get information about the court closure (See criminal information near the bottom of the page): http://www.alameda.courts.ca.gov/Pages.aspx/COVID-19

If you were out of custody and had an arraignment date in Alameda County between May 28 and July 31 for an arrest or citation related to the uprising, most likely your case was not charged. The DA may charge you later they have up to a year from the arrest date to file a misdemeanor case, longer for felonies.
